NIDA organises training programmes, workshops, and community sessions for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. Our training is delivered in sign language-supported formats and focuses on practical knowledge that participants can use in life, business, digital communication, customer service, and work settings.
Training Format
NIDA training programmes are designed to be accessible, practical, and flexible.
Most training activities will be delivered through online-led and technology-enabled formats so that Deaf and Hard of Hearing participants can join from different locations. Sessions will use sign language support, visual materials, demonstrations, and guided practical learning.
Where necessary, NIDA may also provide hybrid or supported physical access through community partners, training spaces, computer centres, or institutional facilities in strategic locations. This helps reduce barriers for participants who may not have personal computers, stable internet, or a suitable learning environment.
